It is not adrenal fatigue
Everyone keeps telling you to rest more.
So, you rest. And, you are still exhausted.
So you bought the supplements, and they didn't work either.
Here is what no one explained:
Adrenal fatigue is not a real medical diagnosis.
It's not in the textbooks, no lab test confirms it, and the research has actually debunked it.
What is real?
HPA axis dysregulation, your body's stress system thrown off by the estrogen swings of perimenopause. Your cortisol stops firing on schedule.
Most women I see don't have too little cortisol. They have cortisol firing at the wrong time, spiking at 2 to 4 AM and waking them up, then leaving them flat in the morning when they need it most.
The problem is not the amount. It's the timing.
So that $60 supplement was never going to fix it. It was solving the wrong problem.
What actually helps, is working with the system:
→ Light and movement first thing to anchor your morning
→ Protecting the 2 to 4 AM window by calming night sweats and the racing mind
→ Stopping the all-day stress drip that keeps the axis dysregulated
One small thing this week: ten minutes of daylight and a short walk before you touch your phone. Give your cortisol rhythm something to organize around.
Want to go deeper? Here are three things I made for you:
→ Watch the full breakdown on Instagram.
→ Listen to the podcast Micro Breaks: Your Secret Weapon Against Burnout.
→ Take the free Perimenopause Pattern Check to see which system is most affected.
Reply and tell me if the 2 to 4 AM wake ups are your thing.
I read every single one.
